With logs made from Northern White Cedar and pine tops, these pieces are sure to hold up and last in all environments.  Our pair of straight benches can be easily assembled in a short amount of time. The bench tops are pre-assembled, and easy to understand instructions will have you enjoying your benches in no time.

Cedar is known for its natural ability to resist decay and insects. Unlike imported log furniture made from inferior wood.  Chinese Fir is not resistant to rot and insects and last anywhere from 1 to 3 years.  While furniture made from Northern White Cedar can last between 10 and 20 years.  Because Northern White Cedar is such a versatile wood, it can accept any type of surface treatment. Such as a water seal, stain, penetrating oils, or even paint. (It is important to make sure the product used is meant for outdoor use). Our furniture can also be left unfinished to weather to a beautiful silvery grey.  Northern White Cedar can also be easily cleaned with a simple solution of 1/2 gallon of water, 1 cup of bleach, and a squirt of dish soap. This will also help re-whiten the wood. A pressure washer can also be used to clean the furniture, being careful not to use too much pressure.

Many or most of the logs will have cracks. These cracks are called checks. Checking occurs when the logs dry and the cells shrink causing the wood to split. This does not weaken the wood. Checking helps give cedar furniture its rustic beauty. Because the wood is naturally resistant to decay and insect damage, you will have a place to set your books, drinks, or you, for a long time.
