Great Lakes Timber Cedar Log Writing Desk — hand-hewn Northern White Cedar log legs and frame with a smooth writing surface. Four finish options: Unfinished, Clear, Grizzly, and Panda. SKU: 102-HH-RS (varies by finish).
Northern White Cedar is hand-hewn — each log shaped with a chisel to create the characteristic faceted surface texture, then sanded smooth at the edges. Mortise and tenon joinery connects the log legs to the frame — a traditional timber technique that locks the structure together without relying on hardware alone. The writing surface provides a clean, level work area that contrasts with the hand-hewn texture of the log frame below — the same visual interplay that defines the collection's approach to combining natural and finished surfaces. Grizzly is a proprietary dark brown stain; Panda pairs Grizzly on the log frame with Clear on the writing surface.
