Northern White Cedar is hand-hewn — each log shaped with a chisel to create the characteristic faceted surface texture, then sanded smooth at the edges. Mortise and tenon joinery connects the logs throughout the frame. The bench gives the entryway, mudroom, or bedroom a place to sit while putting on or pulling off boots; the open lower shelf keeps footwear off the floor and in one place. The cedar log legs and rails carry the collection's characteristic hand-hewn texture throughout. Grizzly is a proprietary dark brown stain; Panda pairs Grizzly on the frame with Clear on the seat.
