The frame uses mortise and tenon joinery reinforced with hardware, built with the same construction standards Lakeland Mills has maintained since 1923. Real log construction gives this table a visual weight that manufactured alternatives cannot achieve.
Northern White Cedar is naturally resistant to rot, insects, and moisture — no sealant or finish is required for outdoor performance. The table can stay outside year-round through all weather conditions without structural degradation. Untreated, it weathers gradually to a soft silver-grey over the seasons.
Pairs naturally with cedar log benches and chairs from the Contoured Comfort collection. All hardware included. A penetrating oil or outdoor sealant applied every few years will maintain the original warm cedar tone if preferred, but it is entirely optional for the wood's performance and longevity.

Northern White Cedar is naturally rot-resistant, insect-resistant, and dimensionally stable, making it one of the few domestic woods that can spend its entire life outside without chemical treatment or annual maintenance. The result is furniture that improves with age rather than deteriorating.
A Note on Log Checking
Because this table is made from real logs, it may develop small surface cracks as the wood acclimates to changes in temperature and humidity. Log checking is completely normal in solid log furniture — not a defect — and does not affect structural integrity or longevity. Cedar Log Contoured Comfort products are covered by a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty covers structural failures and defects present at time of manufacture.
