At five feet wide, it seats two adults comfortably with room to settle in. The cedar frame uses mortise and tenon joinery reinforced with hardware, handcrafted in Edmore, Michigan using the same construction methods Lakeland Mills has applied since 1923.
Thermally modified slats are heat-treated through a chemical-free process that permanently changes the wood's cellular structure, making the sitting surfaces significantly more resistant to moisture, warping, and decay than standard wood. The contoured slat profile provides ergonomic support for the seat and back.
No finish or maintenance is required on either material. Northern White Cedar is naturally rot and insect resistant. The thermally modified slats require no sealant. Mounting hardware is not included — hang with chain or rope rated for appropriate occupant weight.

A Note on Log Checking
The cedar log frame components may develop small surface cracks as the wood acclimates to changes in temperature and humidity. This is a normal characteristic of solid cedar construction — not a defect — and does not affect structural integrity. The thermally modified slats will not develop this type of surface checking. ThermaFusion products are covered by a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty covers structural failures and defects present at time of manufacture.
