The ThermaFusion 5 Foot Loveseat combines a solid Northern White Cedar log frame with thermally modified wood slats contoured for both seat and back. At five feet wide, it comfortably seats two adults with room to spare. The cedar frame uses mortise and tenon joinery reinforced with hardware, built in Edmore, Michigan. An optional Tete-A-Tete center table is available — it folds flat and stores underneath the seat when not in use.
Thermal modification is a chemical-free heat treatment that permanently changes the cellular structure of the slats, making them more resistant to moisture, warping, and decay than standard wood. No preservatives are involved in the process. The slats retain the natural appearance and feel of real wood while performing significantly better outdoors.
No annual maintenance is required. The Northern White Cedar frame is naturally rot and insect resistant and can be left untreated. A penetrating oil applied every few years maintains the original warm tone. The thermally modified slats require no finish or treatment.

A Note on Log Checking
The cedar log frame components may develop small surface cracks as the wood acclimates to changes in temperature and humidity. This is a normal characteristic of solid cedar construction — not a defect — and does not affect structural integrity. The thermally modified slats will not develop this type of surface checking. ThermaFusion products are covered by a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty covers structural failures and defects present at time of manufacture.
